How Can severe Pain Below The Breast Be Treated?

Trying to figure out if I should force my sixty year old sister into the ER. She has sharp pain under her left breast and around her back. It hurts when she breathes. No fever or other symptoms. Anti acids did not work and Advil. She is taking Cipro for a uti. I have read that is a nasty anti biotic. Concerned about heart attack or appendix.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a simple musculoskeletal pain.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
